Legally, no one can be in the theater beyond midnight, including the staff. Therefore, spectators are asked to leave the venue by 11:30 PM at the latest to allow the staff to close the premises.
Yes, and even two!
- Liability insurance : intervenes in the event of an incident causing damage to a person on the premises, when the venue is responsible (someone slips, trips over an object, etc.).
- General liability insurance objective : intervenes in the event of a loss causing damage to a person, even if the venue is not responsible (explosion, attacks, etc.).

If there are no other uses for the room in the meantime, yes, it is possible. If there are other uses, it will depend on the volume of your equipment. We will do our best to offer you a solution. If you have a set on stage that is not easy to move and you are performing several days in a row, your set can remain in place.
Hosted Activities
We welcome concerts that can be held at a sound level respecting the standards of Brussels Environment, namely a maximum of 85 decibels.
In order to maintain good relations with the neighborhood, we do not accept potentially noisy events such as dance parties.
Our venue is primarily intended for cultural activities. For other types of activities, it is on a case-by-case basis. To check this together, please contact us by explaining your wishes, and we will respond within the following hours.
Services offered
- You have a lighting/sound technician : we explain the operation of our equipment to him/her (for a maximum of 1 hour).
Note: If this is a rental for a show and you have your own stage manager, the bar must be managed by our team, so that a member of l'Improviste is always present on site.
- You do not have a lighting/sound technician : we can provide one for you. This has the great advantage that he knows our venue and its equipment very well and will be in the best position to meet your every wish, even anticipate them.
- Here are the rates for the lighting/sound technician option.
- Yes, that is a possible option. If you choose to go this route, you will need to prepare your own cash register and payment terminal in case of on-site sales.

No, we do not offer online ticketing services. You will therefore manage the sale of your tickets directly, using the platform of your choice.
Bar and kitchen
Yes, it is possible. In this case, a fridge is made available to you, your team will take care of the bar, and of course, you will keep the receipts. You will need to provide your own cash float and payment terminal. Here is the rate for the "Bar/corkage fee" option.
Note : In order to always have at least one member of the Improviste team on site, selecting the "Bar / corkage fee" option also requires selecting the "tech manager" option.
L'Improviste does not have a kitchen. However, our bar has the following equipment:
- 2 microwaves
- 1 coffee machine
- 1 kettle
- 1 fridge
- around thirty plates and sets of cutlery
- several hundred glasses and dozens of cups!
No, we do not have a designated caterer. You are therefore free to choose one of your liking.
We do not have any high tables. However, we have 11 bar tables (square tables measuring 70cm x 70cm)
Yes, the bar is self-service. We trust your honesty to leave the amount corresponding to what you drink. You get a discounted rate on all beverages. Coffee and tea are on the house!
Amenities
We do not have a private parking lot. If you need to unload equipment, it is easy to temporarily park double-parked since the street is two-way.
This map shows you the places where it is easy to find parking. Please note that parking spots in the neighborhood are paid (as in almost all of Brussels). For free parking, head to Boulevard Paepsem (a 20-minute walk away).
Yes, we have very welcoming dressing rooms with:
- a makeup table
- toilets
- a shower
- an ironing board and an iron
- a clothes rack
- a divine couch
- an unbearable “spot the difference” book where you have to find the tiniest differences between two pictures — a real brain teaser!

Yes. The access and restrooms are designed to accommodate them properly.
It's not up to us to say it, but honestly, yes!
Booking and conditions
No. The venue is definitively booked for you once the contract is signed and the 30% deposit is paid. To ensure you get your dream date, we recommend booking as early as possible.
We are a non-profit organization without any subsidies. The rates we set barely allow us to meet our needs. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to offer prices even lower than those proposed.
- 3 hours per day (e.g.: If you book 3 days of 2 hours/day, 9 hours will be charged)
- 6 hours in total (e.g.: If you book only 1 day of 4 hours, 6 hours will be charged)
Exception: on the first day, you have access to the venue for the entire day — whether your rental is for a single performance or several. This allows time for thorough technical setup, set installation, and a final rehearsal.
If you need more than 5 hours on subsequent days for additional rehearsals, a recording, etc., extra hours will be charged at the non-public activities rate.
To book the venue, please send us a booking request.
Once it has been submitted, we will send you:
- the contract to sign online
- the 30% deposit invoice, payable within 10 days
- the balance invoice (70%), payable no later than 15 days before the start of the rental.
Yes, but except in cases of force majeure, the amounts already paid remain with L'Improviste as compensation for lost earnings, even in case of postponement. In the same spirit, if l'Improviste were to cancel your rental (which has never happened before), we would refund you double the amounts already paid.
First of all, we would like to wish him a speedy recovery. Then, upon presentation of a medical certificate, we can offer to postpone the date without loss of the amounts already paid.
- No. The reduction beyond 50 hours for non-public activities should be considered individually for each order.
